Critical review of the content of the book „One World Renaissance“,

Number of pages 379, published in 2015, written by Glen T. Martin

The holistic approach to global, planetary, social and economic transformation of the existing geobiopolitical vertical type of organization and an explanation of life on Earth is correct and only possible with the aim of a better and more just life.

That request towards oneself and the world is the task of people with a high level of moral consciousness, brain and mind with the reasoning. That is the task from the title of utopia. Searching for the possible, a better world than this life that is captured in the form of violence as a development form becomes necessary. The opinion of the author Glen T. Martin as well as the opinion of other authors upon whose opinions this book calls upon indicates “Le Myth de Sisyphus,” from Albert Camus. The world today needs both the utopia and the modern Sisyphus. If they did not exist in the history, the world would have looked different. And the author of this book, Glen T. Martin, is seeking possible in impossible circumstances, on the level of the world, relying on a holistic approach, the harmony of life. That is necessary, despite the knowledge about the growing intensity and new forms, methods and means of maintaining violence towards life and nature.

The author’s opinion sought radical or dramatic change in the minds of the people of the world. The change in vertical, civilizational structure, which rests on the domination of powerful countries / nations and corporations of the capitalist system, the sovereignty of the countries with powerful manipulation of the UN. The author calls for planetary understanding and maturation of the human race, for a new type of understanding of life, for a horizontal structure, for geobiosocial type of understanding of life, which includes freedom and democracy, humanisation of the human species. He is committed to the transcendence of the consciousness of the brain and mind of violence, in the brain and mind with the reason to create awareness about peace as a cultural value, social and economic democracy in the world, which ensures the availability of resources and goods for all people of the world in a civilization in which everything is valued by the money.

The author is right in asking for a higher level of consciousness of the human species, by means of education, because it is a prerequisite for the creation of peace, new order, as opposed to today’s chaos and conflict. The deficit of consciousness of the human species is the first and causal deficit of the state of the art in the world. It is the cause of all the crises and conflicts in the world. The author advocates for the evolutionary synthesis as a condition for a new and better world and a system (universal author’s view is the evolutionary holism, reintegration of the value system, the ethical principles, for the regulation of relations in the world, the rule of law, the establishment of universal harmony of life on earth which the author established by means of five principles of that order). The author’s opinion is that it would be possible, by using these principles, to change the current war world order into the order of peace, which the author seeks a huge effort from himself, and

also from the human species. The call towards universality, unity in diversity, for humanisation of mankind, for reason with building the trust among the people, for empathy with others, for empathy as the love between people, and dialogue (cooperation) among human beings. This approach ensures the consent of the level of consciousness of the world as the highest civilizational invention. It provides a new form of sovereignty, moral autonomy of the individual and the nation and the control of individual and state terrorism, state and corporate governing elites whose behavior often borders on the behavior of gangsters and terrorists. The author is not far from the truth when he utters that claim, be it the elites of creationism, that create susceptibility to the titles of devotion, but also elite of evolutionism, etatism and corporatism which achieve to dictate the forms of violence as the form of development. These elites are using the big corrupt science (liberal and neo-liberal doctrine), which explains the forms of violence as a form of development. The author is right when he represents an explicit, decisive and dramatic demand to change the world monetary system based on debt doctrine, monetarism and consumerism. The author sees the problem of the transformation of today’s civilizational structure of the world, evolutionism, secularism based on geobiopolitical type of understanding, into the new geobiosocial structure of the world based on the acquired power, as the main threat to the global tyranny, i.e. global totalitarianism.

The author sees the exit in the new type of the rule of the law, as a culture of life, in a new type of democracy, in e paradigm shift of the power, in the new horizontal instead of vertical current civilization order. The author is determined in his request for the Earth Constitution as a constitutional framework of the new planetary relationships as legitimate power as an alternative to the institutional and legal violence. The author is right when he points out the necessity of the legitimate power in terms of quality, as well as self-organized leverage that would have been established by the planetary government followed by the planetary role of education as an intervening variable in creating a new civilizational structure, fairer and freer world.

In fact, it is about the transformation of the brain mechanisms of violence into the brain mechanisms of peace, using the reason in the transformation of the existing world system of war as the entrepreneurship into the world system of developing and creating peace. This should be achieved by a planetary contract, constitution and world government. That would be a predisposition for the renaissance of the 21st century, settlement or the impulsion between EQ, IQ and SQ., i.e., according to the author’s attitude – the reconciliation of the reason, intuition and love (empathy). Holism, harmonization of life, freedom and love is built on trust between people, not on fear and conflict. Animals live in fear and react by instinct, fear, due to the survival needs. The humankind builds its way of life based on trust which is being advocated by the author of this book, referring to the opinion of other authors of similar opinions, especially on the opinions and views of Hans Johannes (about the unity of humankind in the diversity, individuality and integrity of the human species as one). The author starts from the utopia, from the nihilism (Sisyphus), and so he takes this Sisyphean task and role to himself, all the way to the Buddhism, eschatology, from Eastern to Western philosophy of materialism, all in sense of the synthesis of integral mysticism in order to bring awareness against reasonable self-destruction, and individual institutional, in order to free the human race from today perpetuate the existing forms of domination and exploitation of the majority by a minority of humanity.

The author combines or merges the opinion of others with the aim of strengthening his own opinion in a holistic sense. The contemporaries speak of the new age, about the future better world, investing their intellectual effort to look for a better future of the world. The author refers to contemporary thinkers (the brain and the

mind with the reason) as a force for change in the mindset, in a functional and systematic sense. With this approach, the author is linking the ethics of life (principles), sociopsychology, political science, economics, until spirituality / spirituality, as an expression of holism. The author’s thought connects that utopianism with practical utopia, in a pragmatic vision, in a concrete demand for the realization of human development potential, in the potentiality of reality, as a potentiality of the future. The author says that that is necessary for a better future of the world. Integral mysticism, transformative holism, a new era and practical utopia are necessary for the unity of the cosmos to the unity of the human species in diversity, justice, equality and democracy. Utopia has a foothold in the unity of cosmic holism because humanisation of the human species is possible, resulting from the animal culture into the culture of human kind, as a potentiality of the reality of the planet in terms of harmony in the cosmos until the harmony of life and co-existence of the human species on planet Earth.

The author is right when he says that the cosmic laws of harmony determine the earthly laws and the life on earth in harmony. Because of this lack of understanding the consent, the author points to the problem of permanent global crisis, the conflicts, all the way to their greater intensity. This global situation, says the author, demands efforts, and formation, and operation of Camus’ Sisyphus. Glen T. Martin is necessary and required on this world. The epilogue of the book is sending the message about that necessity.

When writing about the necessity as opportunities, the author is writing and advocating revolutionary holism, creativity and productivity of a healthy mind and a healthy human spirit and harmony. The author calls for the transformation of the system and corporate structure as these fossilized institutions of capitalism are structured in violence, as well as so-called sovereign state / nations (the old holism), with the closed horizon to change the actual state of relations in the world.

Also, in the epilogue of the book, the author advocates incarnation because he is sacrificing himself for a better world, for humanisation of the mankind against lack of humanisation. This shows that the author acts and sacrifices in accordance with the Jesus’ code, the victim. He is looking for the incarnation of freedom of peace and justice in the human realm, but also in accordance with the planetary institutions, states and corporations, the change in behavior of political and financial oligarchy that governs the centers of power. The author advocates what is necessary and what is possible, close to the objectification of these options, i.e., the transformation of global institutions and systems by using the dialectics of spiritual and spiritual. On the whole, the author promotes a culture of peace as a value, as an alternative to current life-style that came out of destructive anthropology. Author launches planetary action and mobilizes the necessary human reason as a model for the transformation of life on the planet Earth. The author of this approach or model of the future of the world does not have to be right. We can be sure that the authors of the vertical structure of civilization reality, type of understanding the life are certainly not.

The author appeals upon the human cooperation, planetary consciousness, calls upon the interpersonal trust, the mutual understanding with compassion, with love, but also to cooperation towards consent on the world.

In the pragmatic utopianism, the author appeals to justice, to economic equality, as a form of expression of empathy in the 21st century because the UN did not bring the peace upon the right to veto of the powerful nations of global capitalism as totalitarianism. The author’s tendency is turned to stop the domination of violence and corruption. Similarly, to stop the perpetuation of violence as a form of development. The author

calls for the containment of evolutionism, secularism, etatism of the powerful, especially competition of the corporatism as socialdarwinism, and using democratic rights against the creation of the future and solving problems of global, continental and regional crises.

The author calls for a federal arrangement of the world civilization with the world government and Earth Constitution, which would demilitarize the role of sovereign states and corporations. The author sees the future of the world as a form of the world community, in the horizontal rather than the vertical structure of civilization, which excludes freedom and democracy. From the content of the epilogue, it can be concluded that the modern world can not do without Camus’ Sisyphus, who think about the achievement of possible in impossible circumstances, that rule the world today in terms of unifying the whole world in all its diversity, in terms of integration of reason, intuition and love.

That’s why we need the moral consciousness, the brain and the mind with the reason, we need a constructive rather than destructive anthropology, to unify the fragmented world and society. By changing the system, the consciousness would also be changed by using education and awareness, based on structural anthropology, the humanization of the human species, awareness that suppressed individual and state terrorism by the rule of law as a culture. Instead of the rule of war, peace would rule the brain with the reason instead of the brain and mind of the war, i.e . violence.

The highlight of utopia and utopianism of the author of this book is the demand for the Constitution of the planet Earth as a form of civilizational structure, which should be ratified by the governments of the so-called sovereign states, in a democratic way, which will be very difficult. That can be radical message of this book and the author towards the political brutalism of the ruling system based on debt together with its oligarchy.

The philosophy of the author Glen T. Martin of utopianism has a sense for the future of a better world. The philosophy of the world can give meaning, not Glen T. Martin. Practical utopianism and its meaning within the meaning for the world depends upon those with consciousness, which means the awareness of all people of the world, not just in the brain and mind and appeals of the author of this book.
