Northern Benin
West Africa
June 2003
Benin is the center of the map, capital city Cotonou
A typical grouping of buildings in the north of Benin. This group included a bar where we ordered a beer and peanuts (below).
The outdoor restaurant at the center of the above buildings. The dirt as a floor, and the abandoned, decaying structures in the background, are common.
The countryside in northern Benin. We drove into Benin from Togo to speak with a gathering of school teachers who were assembled from the northern region. We invited them to our Institute On World Problems seminar in Kara, Togo, later that month (June 2003).
